The campaign was launched by CBC with support from SOS Mata Atlântica, in the National Congress, at an event on June 8. The first practical result of the event was the approval by the leaders of all the partisan blocs of the Chamber of the "emergency regime". This considerably shortened your path to approval. Under the "urgency regime," it went straight to the House plenary without previous votes in the Foreign Affairs, Environment and Constitution and Justice committees that would have to pass under the normal voting regime.
 
 In the "urgency regime", the rapporteurs of these three committees staterd  orally, in the plenary,  their position –unanimously in favor—and the vote  was processed through a "leadership votes", that is, the approval of a majority of party leaders with no  specific petition a nominal vote.
 
The ratification of the Paris Agreement was approved in a record time of two months –in a period of great political unrest--   then signed by President Michel Temer in a ceremony  at the Planalto presidential palace, with speeches by himself, the ministers of the environment and foreign affairs, Sarney Filho and José Serra and the director of the Brazilian Climate Center, Alfredo Sirkis.  and taken to the UN by him during  the Climate Week of September 2016. Brazil thus became the first country to ratify the Agreement through a process involving the National Congress and the Presidency.
