24 hours on the climate

The Climate Reality Project, created by former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, is organizing a global event to inform society about the planet's climate and mobilize it to save it. The 24 hours of reality: truth in action, seeks to bring guidance on actions that can save the climate, with the intention of changing the perception for the future.

During 24 hours, from 20 to 21 November, 21,000 climate leaders from around the world, trained by Al Gore, give a presentation on climate. Starting at 8pm local time, the presentations seek to demonstrate the reality of climate change.

"The 24h is an opportunity to unite people in the same event, performing an act of leadership all seeking solutions for the climate. It's a great conversation about the climate," said Renata Moraes, manager of Climate Reality Project Brazil.

The presentations will be transmitted online and in real time, on the site: climaterealityproject.org

As a kickoff, the Climate Reality Project Brazil holds tomorrow, 20, an opening cocktail for the 24 hours of Reality: Truth in action. The pre-project meeting aims to start a conversation in order to discuss topics that will be guided in global presentations, such as: solutions to climate crises. The meeting will also include a lecture by the director of Centro Brasil no Clima, Alfredo Sirkis.

The cocktail is held at the Selina Hotel Lapa, in Rio de Janeiro. Admission is free.
