CBC holds a side event at Climate Week


The side event will happen at Salvador, Bahia, during the Latin America and Caribbean Climate Week

In partnership with ICLEI and ABEMA, the Centro Brasil no Clima will hold a side event, tomorrow, during Latin America and Caribbean Climate Week. The objective is to discuss the involvement of Brazilian states and local governments of major cities in the adaptation and mitigation actions, which are fundamental to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement. The "Brazilian States for Climate Action" starts at 12:30 pm at Salvador Hall.

 

This side event is about how subnational governments can contribute to the Brazilian Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC). It will also discuss ongoing experiences and how to establish direct international funding channels. Another subject is the role of governors in climate governance, as well as encouraging entrepreneurship and the social outcomes that can result from these policies and projects.
